Majestic Views at Mt Cook High Peak

Mount Cook in New Zealand, at approximately 3700m, is of moderate altitude among the world's highest peaks, but its climb is extremely difficult. Hundreds of climbers attempt the summit each year, but the majority descend midway. Even in summer (December to February), tens of meters of snow are observed, and above 2000m altitude, it is a glacial zone. The weather is unpredictable, and accidents are common. The best time to climb is from mid to late January, when the weather is relatively stable. The number of climbers increases in late December during the Christmas holidays, but the weather tends to be rough, and most climbers descend midway. There are multiple climbing routes, but none are well-maintained trails. Most climbers choose the Linda Glacier route, which is relatively less difficult. Aoraki / Mount Cook is truly one of the most breathtaking places in New Zealand. The views of the snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and turquoise lakes are absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the fresh alpine air. The Hooker Valley Track was an unforgettable experience with amazing scenery along the way. The facilities and walking tracks are well maintained, making it suitable for most visitors. If you're visiting the South Island, this destination is a must-see.
