Beautiful night view of the city and is open until quite late! A must visit when in Nagasaki~ Some things to perhaps remember though: 1. There are two ways to get to the base of the ropeway station. Either the free shuttle bus (needs reservations) or the public bus (not too expensive either). If going by public bus late at night, be aware that you need to take the 9:30 pm ropeway down to make it for the last departing bus. If you miss this, you’d either need to walk or take the taxi to the station which also isn’t too far (20 mins walk). 2. It is cold and windy at the top!! We went during spring but the cold was close to unbearable even with my layers. Dress appropriately to fully enjoy the nightview.

The views are nice but not spectacular. Also the brutal icy wind in Feb were not the vibes. Couldn’t enjoy the sights without scrambling back into the building. A pity that there is an enormous queue for the ropeway up and down. Not worth the time and effort for the views.

If you come to Nagasaki, this mountain is not to be missed. It is ranked as one of the Top 3 Night Views in Japan. This one is really beautiful, just like Hakodate, but very cold at night. The wind is very strong. Someone covered my ears. Also wear a hat or you'll freeze to death haha.
