Very nice hike. It has rock, as well as asphalt trail surfaces, and few small wooden bridges. The marking could be much improved, but if you use the AllTrails app, you won't get lost. Just follow your intuition and the trails. There are many offshoot trails but they all lead essentially back to the main path. I hiked it in late August at 95F, and it was very challenging for my 41yo out of shape self. Bring a friend if you're going to hike it in the summer heat. I will be returning for a fall/winter/spring hike. Oh, and there was a large tree that had fallen and needs to be cut, before it falls on someone. I will be properly reporting this.

Unlike any other place you will find in Louisiana. Take the short hike to the Mesa and disagree. The first stairs are the hardest part, you will make it
