Great for an out and back stroll that you can make as long or as short as you want. It's a 7 mile trek from here to the visitor center in the park. Trail is well maintained like the other parts of the Fonta Flora state trail. There are mild uphill parts but the length of the trail makes it a moderate to strenuous hike. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the encounters with mountain bikers. A few slowed down and shared the trail but the majority were very inconsiderate that it is a shared trail with hikers. It's only a matter of time before there's an accident with foot traffic or another mountain biker. I'm certain this part will become unfit and too risky for hikers.
