Fabulous trail in the Linville Gorge...plenty of wildlife...it's steep, bring plenty of water.

Beautiful. Pretty steep in areas. Camped river side, got a bit cold at night. No fish in the pools nearby, I think they're in the upper pools near the falls. Pack light as the climb up is a lot but doable even with my large pack. About an hour to go down and was able to do so with one water bottle. Beautiful rocks with a lot of unique colors and formations. Good fire pit from previous campers. Pretty sandy. Good fire wood around just bring a saw. Lots of spiders in between the rocks but they scatter once they see you.

This is the most beautiful trail I have ever hiked. You start from the side road, and park literally off the side of the road. It’s a relatively difficult trail, some climbing involved, but if you’re capable, that view is worth it!
