年金者組合栗橋支部(遊歩会)が、9月16日栗橋駅に19名が集合。急行で東武日光駅に、乗客が多いので、臨時便の湯元温泉行のバスに乗車すると、30代の細身の女性運転手。大型路線バスを華麗なハンドルさばきで、国際観光都市日光の(徳川家康公の東照宮)や、名所旧跡で停車して、いろは坂のヘアピンカーブを登るが、乗降する外国人の尋ねごとにも、素敵な笑顔と流暢な中国語と英語で的確に対応していた。外国人も笑顔になり、見ていて爽やか。バス停『湯滝入口』で下車。落差70m、豪快に流れ落ちる湯滝観瀑台で、集合写真を撮る。深い原生林の中を歩いて、泉門池(いずみやどいけ)に到着。ベンチで他愛のない話をしながら昼食。(これが楽しい) 湿原の木道を歩くと、赤トンボの群れが飛んでいて、今夏の燃える様な酷暑を一瞬忘れて、初秋の幸せを感じる。帰路に竜頭ノ滝上バス停から乗車した、バスの男性運転手は日本語オンリー。本日の最高齢者は88歳の枝川雅明さん、ゴールまで元気に完歩しました。
