The park itself is very beautiful, you can see incredibly tall thousand-year-old trees, thousands of butterflies, stick insects and some other original insects. On the other hand, the organization is chaotic, the plans given to the place are completely wrong and the staff communicate on nothing. We wanted to rent scooters (essential if you come on your own because the park is gigantic and unless you are Pogacar, you will not be able to go around it in a day by bike) and that was the cross and the banner.... We waited almost an hour for them to be ready, there were problems with the keys,... Be patient!... The refuge center for the monkeys is Vietnamese marketing. The reality is that the monkeys are in cages that are much too small, that we feel apathetic and that we are made to believe that afterwards they are returned to the natural environment, whereas a guide told us that once in captivity they lose their survival instinct and it is not possible to release them. You won't even be able to take a good photo considering their parking.

One of our worst travel experiences. Poor management from the start: we were sold the wrong tickets despite clearly requesting access to the entire area, and were then scolded by park guides, even though we had booked a three-night stay on site. The worst part is witnessing unacceptable animal abuse. A gentle monkey, roaming freely, was grabbed by the neck and strangled to the point of unconsciousness by a motorcyclist (not a park employee) – while the tour guides and staff laughed. The monkey was then locked in a cage without any care, then taken to the "rescue center" - a place introduced to visitors as a place to preserve rare animals. In fact, this is where animals caught in the park are kept simply because they annoy visitors. Park staff reacted rudely and angrily to our outrage, justifying the violence as “protecting visitors from monkey bites.” We cut our vacation short. What we witnessed was completely contrary to the mission of a national park to protect wildlife. If you love animals: don't go to this place.

Cuc Phuong National Park is Vietnam's first and largest national park, established on July 7, 1962 under Decision No. 72-TTg of the Prime Minister. The park is located in three provinces: Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa, with a total area of ​​about 22,200 hectares.   History of formation Before becoming a national park, Cuc Phuong area was recognized as a forest reserve in 1960. In 1962, President Ho Chi Minh officially recognized Cuc Phuong as Vietnam's first national park.
