At 451m above sea level, it is the highest mountain on Nishinoshima. There is only a commercial broadcasting relay station at the top of the mountain, but the view is not good. Instead, you can see the scenery by going to an observation point a little further away. There is a legend that Oyamazumi Mikoto of Yakivolcano and Uukega Mikoto of Kagamiyama in Nakanoshima captured the Himekami from each other. In the battle of stone-throwing powers, he loses, and Himegami is captured by Uukega no Mikoto. In the second match, which involved betting on the sakaki trees growing in the mountains, Mimiko Oyama won and stole all the sakaki trees. For this reason, it is said that no sakaki trees grow on Mt. After 300m, the mountain trail branches into a learning path and an exploration path. The distance from the trailhead to the summit is 1.2km for learning and 1km for exploration, both of which take about 30 to 40 minutes. The two paths meet again just before the summit. If you want to go to Yakihi Shrine, go to the exploration direction. You will pass the shrine in front of the entrance to the search, so if you take a detour, you will travel approximately the same distance. The mountain trail is well maintained and easy to walk. There are no steep hills or rowing through the bushes. There is a guide to the observatory, but the summit is not specifically marked. If you go in the direction marked commercial antenna, you will reach the top. We recommend stopping by the shrine on the way up and returning on the learning path on the way down. Wear clothes that are easy to move in. Sneakers are fine as shoes. I think it would be comfortable for light mountain climbing. Free parking and toilets available. It is adjacent to the trailhead.
