Expected better quality food from a restaurant that’s part of a 5 star hotel. Chicken pops were similar to McDonalds chicken nuggets. Processed garbage.

Excellent service, delicious food, and a wonderfully atmospheric jazz music. Widi, my waiter, was fantastic. I definitely recommend it!

Beautiful beachfront restaurant – excellent food, only the half-board arrangement could be better Review We spent a total of two and a half weeks at The Apurva Kempinski Bali and ate at the Reef Beach Club several times during our stay. The ambiance right on the beach is beautiful and perfectly complements this exceptional resort. We would especially like to commend the staff: We were always treated with great friendliness, attention, and courtesy, and felt welcome every time we visited. We also thoroughly enjoyed the culinary offerings. The cuisine is a pleasant international mix, offering both Asian and Indonesian dishes as well as international classics. Everything we tried during our stay was of very high quality and superbly prepared. I would particularly like to mention the Reef Burger – truly one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. However, there is one point of criticism, which is expressly not due to the restaurant or its excellent team, but rather to the hotel's policy for guests on half-board. As half-board guests, we received a separate, significantly reduced menu. Guests paying for their meals at the regular price can choose from the much more extensive full menu. Especially during a longer stay of two and a half weeks, I find this arrangement disappointing and, frankly, somewhat like being treated unfairly as a half-board guest compared to other hotel guests. I would much prefer the option of choosing from the full menu and paying a surcharge for more expensive dishes. In my opinion, that would be a very fair and welcoming solution. As it stands, however, the only options are to either forgo the already paid half-board and pay extra for the desired dish or to limit oneself to the significantly smaller half-board menu. This doesn't change our very positive assessment of the Reef Beach Club itself: beautiful ambiance, excellent food, and an exceptionally friendly team. We would love to return and simply hope that the hotel will make its half-board policy a bit more flexible in the future.
