This is an absolutely gorgeous river, and an excellent example of natural Florida landscape. It can be explored by kayak/canoe or by foot, at several conservation lands along the length of the river - Little Big Econ State Forest, Econ River Wilderness Area, Econlockhatchee Sandhills Conservation, and Hal Scott Regional Preserve to name a few.

Don't see how anyone could give this river anything less than 5 stars. Absolutely beautiful, excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities and excellent fishing

The Econlockhatchee River is one of the most beautiful rivers I have visited in Florida. It is a great place to go hiking, fishing, and other outdoor sports. I made a video of this location and I recommend visiting if you are in the area.
