Have been up the Southwest ridge and down standard (Lavender) route down three times in last 2.5 weeks. Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Lots of fun exposure on the ridge heading up. The standard descent can be crowded, watch for rocks falling bc of people above you. (Note: If you dislodge a rock, you should yell "Rock!" So people below you are aware).

An absolutely stunning and iconic San Juan peak that holds a special place for me! Mount Sneffels was my very first 14er back in 1998, offering a classic alpine challenge. The rugged scree fields and thrilling upper gullies lead to a jagged summit with jaw-dropping panoramic views, making it an unforgettable, legendary mountain adventure!
