Waterfall Wonders of Cascada Las Filipinas

Beautiful waterfalls. To get there, it's recommended to leave your car before a steep descent on the last stretch; if you don't have a 4x4, it can be difficult to get back out.

Before arriving, you must pay $2 per person to the locals, as it is private property. After paying, you follow the trail; everything is well-marked and clean.

We visited the Más Filipinas waterfall circuit and, honestly, it's been one of my favorite experiences in Panama so far. The paths between the waterfalls are very well maintained, with sections that have railings and even places to rest and lean against, which is greatly appreciated during the hike. Important: they only accept cash at the entrance, they don't accept Yappy, so be prepared 😅 From the main road to the entrance, I recommend going in a 4x4 vehicle. Sedans or 4x2 mini SUVs really aren't ideal, especially because in Panama you never know when it's going to rain and the road can become wet and dangerous. It's best to go with a 4x4 and experience driving it, or hire one of the transportation services in town that offer one-way service and then coordinate the return time. The service was excellent, the place was very clean, and the nature was simply spectacular. The effort put into keeping everything organized and pleasant for visitors is evident. Also, the owner has restrooms available at the exit, which greatly enhances the experience. Note that the first two waterfalls are quite easy to access; after that, it gets a bit more complicated but not impossible. Visit up to the fifth waterfall. There are a few minor details that could be improved, but they are minimal compared to all the positive aspects of the place. I definitely recommend it 100%.
