Calm waters great place most of the summer to read. I proposed to my now wife here, when it had just been shut down as the city beach. Lots of things have changed since then

Beautiful park with nice shelter and picnic tables. Very nice park for children as well. Heartland trail goes through for bicycles. I didn't mention all the art along the trail. Great experience
