Sun-Kissed Retreat at North Pattaya Beach

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

I have mixed feelings about this beach. On one hand, it has a wide sand strip, stunning sunsets, and it’s never crowded. On the other hand, if you’re into seashell collecting—good luck! My kids and I tried, but all we found were cigarette butts, takeout plastic, and enough empty bottles to start our own recycling plant. Come on, Pattaya, this beach has so much potential—do better! Also, don’t be fooled by the “Lifeguard on Duty” sign. They show up around 10 AM, do a scenic walk like they’re filming a tourism ad, maybe squint at the swimmers for a bit, and then retreat to their tent to have an intense staring contest with their phones for the rest of the day. Safety first? More like WiFi first. Clean up the beach, get the lifeguards to actually lifeguard, and this place could be amazing! I have mixed feelings about this beach. The atmosphere is nice, but be careful of pickpockets and untrustworthy people while walking around. The beach has been significantly improved.

I visited Pattaya during the Songkran holiday. The weather was sunny and hot. Beer in the shade was fantastic. There seemed to be fewer tourists than I expected. Last night, I was drenched with water. I thought my heart would stop for a second from the ice water. My face was also in danger; a lot of water got into my eyes and ears.
