We went from our hotel to the island by Tuk-Tuk. Our driver Gim showed us different places on the island. We saw the making and weaving of silk. The meeting with the residents was warm. Pleasant afternoon away from the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh

A nice escape from the busy Phnom Penh. I took the ferry for 500riel and then rented a bike for 10$ for the day. This gave me the liberty to run around and making random stops whenever it suit me. Truly recommend.

It’s a nicely choreographed operation. The young guide speaks fluently and effortlessly about how the silk is made, from the silk worm to weaving, and the final products, which is available to purchase. They take Visa credit cards. The silk scarfs are but too busy for my taste, instead I purchased two cotton scarfs, could use them as table runners too -:)
