Other than the heat and hummidity due to the unusual weather pattern, the Carrick Creek Trail was moderate (with misquitos & knats, so bring repellent). The trail is mostly shaded and it includes the creek. The trail from the parking area was very well marked due to construction and the trail itself had color paint stripes on trees based on the trail(s) youre on at the time. Don't forget your trail map. Very beautiful in this park. Some good views of the mountain as well. Get your parking pass at the visitor center across the highway before entering to make it easier. The hike form is available at the trail head or at the Sand Beach shack. The shack has kayak rentals, snacks and day supplies. Very nice staff.

Im not sure i actually found any water falls wirh the exception of a, man made dam. It was cool looking and it was built out of slate type rocks. I was hoping for swimming area. There is a beach on the lake. I didnt wanna crowd the few children in there so I opted to just walk the trail and keep looking. The best I found was stream area. It cost $6 per adult and $3.50 per child to enter table rock. Ill probably go else where in the future. Im ok paying if o actually have good swimming near a beautiful water fall. I found none.
