The beach isn't as spectacular as many people here say, especially those who haven't even seen it. And well, you can't expect an amazing beach next to a port. It's kind of enclosed and open at the same time. In certain months, when the lagoon dries up, you can walk there along the left side of the customs building. But it's a secluded beach, too windy, and with absolutely no shade. So, it's up to each person to decide. For me, any beach in Antolín del Campo is a thousand times better: prettier, more vibrant, and more interesting.

Playa Paraíso, strategically located near the El Guamache International Port in the municipality of Tubores, is one of Margarita Island's most surprising and best-kept secrets. As its name suggests, this destination offers a peaceful haven that contrasts sharply with the nearby port activity, providing visitors with crystal-clear, exceptionally calm, turquoise waters that rival any other corner of the Caribbean. What truly distinguishes Playa Paraíso is its tranquility. Being a sheltered cove, the waves are practically nonexistent, making it a natural swimming pool ideal for families and those seeking a relaxing swim. Its fine, white sand is the perfect place to disconnect from the urban bustle and enjoy the radiant sunshine that characterizes this area of the island.

Margarita Island is similar to the island shared by the Dominican Republic and Haiti; everyone goes on vacation in the Dominican Republic but not in Haiti. Everyone visits the same tourist spots on Margarita, but the rest of the island seems to be forgotten.
