If you're going to Port Moresby, this is a must-visit! Local residents can enter with a K12 ticket. The aquarium houses many animals native to Papua New Guinea, including birds of paradise, tree kangaroos, cuscus, cassowaries, crocodiles, reptiles, wallabies, and various bird species. If you're lucky, you can observe birds of paradise up close. There are explanatory signs in English for each animal, which is very informative. Traditional wood carvings and canoes are also on display. There's a park, cafe, and souvenir shop, so you can easily spend half a day there.
