Known for its cascading waterfall that plunges directly into the Sound of Raasay below, this striking landscape can be found just a short distance from Portree, the island's largest town. The rugged cliffs, lush green hills, and azure waters combine to create a scene that is both idyllic and awe-inspiring.

What sets Mealtfalls apart is the harmony of powerful geological features—vertical cliffs formed from ancient volcanic activity and the roaring waterfall that defines the view. Fine for a short stop. Not a must on the Isle of Skye.

This is the view you can see from the viewpoint. It was a short, easy walk across the parking lot to the viewpoint.

Google maps location is WRONG! Ignore the dropped pin and go to the far left corner where the (skinny) waterfall is next to the Kilt Rock. It is.... Ok ... One of the "sights" on Skye. Would be nice if the local council could provide a WC funded by the £3 parking charge...
