Gorgeous lake! The water is beautiful, the scenery is stunning. It's an ideal spot for walking, but also for swimming, so there's something for everyone. We personally settled on the beach near the restaurant and the parking lot. Access is free (only the parking is paid, but there are free spots if you walk a little further), the swimming areas are clean and well-maintained, you can sit on the grass, and there are paddleboards, kayaks, and pedal boats for rent. A superb place that I highly recommend.

Dreamy day with to start at. For the first time ever saw, fog slowly drifting across the surface of the lake which looked like the lake itself hissing. Such a surreal sight. And the lake offered great views from every corner all day long. Hiked up a little for the views accidentally came across a secluded spot to just sit and overlook. Planned actually for the Schönjöchl viewpoint but somehow did not come close to it yet discovered a unique viewpoint for ourselves.
