Excellent historical area. Do not go on the side road without 4wd and high clearance. Follow the main road to the end

The dirt road out to Castle Gardens is an adventure in itself, in a good way. It’s slow going but safe for even a small suv. Once you get to the actual site there is parking. The petroglyphs are within eyeshot. There is a loop you can walk and find on All Trails app. I am 67 and the walk was an easy one. Definitely worth the drive back in the middle of no where Wyoming.
