Tranquil Escape at Stonewall Resort State Park

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

I hit a couple snags there but the resort changed my accomodations and it was better.

Just returned from an amazing girls weekend! The resort and grounds are stunning especially decorated for the holidays. Everyone was warm, inviting and helpful. We especially loved our server Angela at the sports bar who felt like one of the girls and Bill who helped us with our bags and generously gave a us a private tour of the cottages and lake house area to show us what is available to make our next visit even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I just got back from a camping trip here with another couple were friends with and we all absolutely loved it. It was very beautiful this time of year with the leaves changing an the reflections on the lake especially at sunset. But for me personally it was catching catfish all day Saturday that made the trip great lol I honestly didn't think I'd do that great because it was getting down in the low 30s at night but I surprisingly done better than I've personally done at in other lake I've fished at so I'll definitely be camping here again real soon we stayed it the tents sites that are right on the water. If your camping with someone site 4 and 5 are the best they're pretty much connected like one big site but we didn't know till after we got there we had 3 an 4 which are probably the 2 that are farthest apart lol but we made it work so I hope this helps someone. Sites 1 2 an 3 would be best for privacy if you're camping alone theirs alot more space in between those 3 but keep in mind they're all over a hill not a big one but id say 30 to 50 feet depending on the site so if you have any trouble walking or anything these may not be the best choice for you. The bathhouse I was using was spotless anytime I was there I never even seen a scrap of paper in the floor very clean an tidy and always plenty of toilet paper. I would definitely recommend staying here especially if your into cat fishing.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Stonewall Resort, and I can't speak highly enough about the experience! The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning views and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, but one standout moment came when I discovered my car was covered in snow after a winter storm. Bill, one of the staff members, came to the rescue and used a leaf blower to clear the snow off my car. I was amazed by his kindness—it made all the difference on a chilly morning and saved me a lot of time. It’s these little, thoughtful touches that really set the Stonewall Jackson Resort apart. I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with fantastic service. A big thank you to Bill for making my day easier and brighter!
