Carver Park and features towering oaks, maples, and beeches that form a dense canopy. Visitors appreciate its calm atmosphere and the chance to see local wildlife such as deer, songbirds, and small mammals. The well-maintained walking trail gently winds through shaded groves, making it a favorite spot for short, relaxing hikes that refresh the spirit.

The woods come alive in spring with native wildflowers brightening the forest floor, offering a delightful treat for flower enthusiasts and photographers. This green space serves not only as a recreational hub but also as a preserved natural area maintained by the Royal Oak Nature Society, providing educational opportunities about local ecosystems in a highly developed urban region. The size and variety of the ancient trees leave many visitors impressed by the quiet majesty that contrasts with the bustling city just steps away.

In addition to nature appreciation, Tenhave Woods holds a quirky local legend of "wood elves" who supposedly gathered here for secret parties in the early 1970s, adding a touch of playful mystery to the woods’ character. Dogs are not permitted, ensuring the environment remains undisturbed and peaceful. Excellent small walking trail in thick woods. Very nicely protected. Huge mighty trees. Well protected parks. Dogs are not allowed in the park. One who wants to relax will enjoy this small trail. Couple of rounds on trail will refresh you for a day.

Wood Elves used to have beer and pot parties in there at nighttime back in the early 1970s.
