The once narrow rapid filled river is now a silt field wide creek. Houses are completely gone and so is the road in places. Fishtop looks like a great sand dune. Very sad to see😞 Helene was a real one in this area.

Lots of roads and parking areas are still closed because of Helene. Very nice park, lots of different trails although not everything is blazed. Be mindful of the hunters during hunting season.
