Great small comunity. Small lake with services including a store with "no booze". Museum up the street.

Love this place but it gets tons of fisherman. Had lots of baby trout last week but it's a beautiful small lake and fun to fish. We had luck with a 14 in trout and caught and released baby bass and crappie. Had to keep a few crappie

We have been coming here for at least 25 years but today (7/3) it was very frustrating to learn that the porta potty next to the dam was so nasty dirty that even closed it smelled., we asked the lady that came around to collect payment about it and she said they have nothing to do with it but of course that's not true. Yes, there's regular restrooms by the main street but if you're going to offer the service of porta potties, then make sure the ppl who come to the lake for a nice day, away from the city actually do enjoy themselves. To the ppl who manage the lake, please pay attention to that situation or if you don't care, at least have those portable restrooms removed. Our experience today was horrible and we ended up leaving early.
