El Pital is an ecological park located in the Department of Chalatenango, under private management. It is a popular spot for both foreigners and Salvadorans. Visitors take advantage of the cooler weather to enjoy a hot drink, observe the mist, and take photographs. The access road has been in very poor condition, and only four-wheel-drive vehicles can easily make the climb.
