Climbing Cerro Chirripó (3,820 m.a.s.l.) is more than just a hike: it's a transformative experience. Having certified guides ensures a safe ascent, knowledge of mountain first aid, and proper pace management to prevent altitude sickness. And if you don't want to worry about the logistics of permits, lodging at the Crestones Base Camp, meals, and luggage transport, the best option is to book an organized tour to Chirripó.

An amazing place. So much nature. The facilities are a bit run down, especially the bathrooms. But overall it's still fine; you can have a good night's sleep.
