A beautiful and peaceful campground close to the beach! The campsites are surrounded by trees and nature, and it’s just a short walk to the ocean. The beach is wide, clean, and perfect for watching the sunset or taking a relaxing walk along the shore. The campground has a laid-back atmosphere and feels like a nice escape from the city. A great place for camping, enjoying the ocean air, and spending a quiet weekend outdoors.

The campground is a bit shabby. It could definitely use some more maintenance and upkeep. This is an OK place to camp if you're looking for affordable beach camping and New Brighton isn't available. We like the Pines Hollow loop the best. Campsites 65, 66, 74 and 86 are the best for families, as they had some space and a little privacy. Most campsites have little to no privacy. The bathroom and shower facilities were clean, but be aware there is not a quarter machine on site for the showers so you need to bring quarters with you. The beach is great. Very few people and and not busy at all.

The three nights we spent at campsite 76 were anything but restful! During those three days, two groups of 20 to 30 people set up camp near us, so there was absolutely no privacy. During the week, the farmers working in the greenhouses next door play music from 7 a.m. onwards; it felt like we were in a bad dream! The beach was beautiful, especially at sunset, but the access road was poorly maintained and very rough. Not our favorite campsite, but not the worst either. The other campsites seemed less bad.
