Discover the Majesty of Miller's Landing

The fish and chips were amazing!!! I found this place by doing some research before our trip but it was highly recommended by our Airbnb host so we knew we had to try it. It’s beer battered but just the right amount. We had fresh rockfish, caught that morning, and it was delicious. Cannot recommend enough.

I've now stayed at Miller's Landing twice and each stay was better than the last. The cabins are exactly as listed and the staff is there incase you have any questions or need anything. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the views are unmatched. I've done fishing trips as well and every day was great on the water. Would recommend for a stay in Seward!

Had a pretty bad water taxi experience on our way to/from Aialik Bay. I should have known they aren’t really set up for backcountry drop offs when we had to ask six different people for an InReach number, which is a pretty standard component of backcountry safety/courtesy. Despite paying ~$800 for a four hour round trip they treated us like we were a couple of freeloaders. One of the well-meaning customers accidentally handed my girlfriend an extra burrito (which are reserved for the tour groups) and the tour guide practically slapped it out of her hand. We never wanted a burrito but I do think $800 should buy us a little more respect than to be treated like a couple of hitchhikers. On the way back the captain THREW a dry bag full of our gear across the deck. This was totally unnecessary and could have been avoided in many ways: he could have told us where to store our gear in the first place, could have politely asked us to move it if it was in the way, etc. Overall they’re kind of jerks and they’re catering more to the cruise ship tourist crowd than people looking to access the backcountry.

Seriously can’t recommend Miller’s Landing enough! We took a full day fishing charter out with them, and the team was nothing short of amazing. Dustin & Kate were incredible teachers, and had me (a complete beginner) confidently fishing and having a blast within an hour! Their team is amazing and went above and beyond to make our experience incredible. The views are amazing and we’d do this again in a heartbeat.

Stayed in cabin on beach. Stayed warmer at night than expected. Bit of a walk to bathroom in middle of night. Gatorade bottle would have been useful.
