Incredible park. So beautiful. Great trails. A must see if you love nature and hiking. By the way, there are more accessible options to great viewpoints if you prefer not to hike. Signs in English were very helpful.

The strange rocks stacked on top of each other are old and broken, and the distant mountains and near ridges lead to streams and rivers. The spring comes out of the towering mountain canyon and the red rock scenery of Danxia Mountain

The Danxiashan geopark is very accessible from anywhere in Guangdong that has a highspeed rail station. It's just 51 minutes from the Guangzhou South station, and when you reach Shaoguan station there is a bus that departs to Danxia geopark every 30 minutes. The journey will take approximately 1 1/2 hours, costs CNY21 (as at Jan 2017) and the bus will drop you off right in front of the park entrance. From the park entrance, there is a free shuttle bus to the visitors' centre, from there you can purchase the park entrance ticket (CNY150) which is valid for 2 days.
