Glory be to the Almighty Creator, the One, the Self-Sufficient, the Most Merciful, far above what they associate with Him. Theth National Park is a stunning national park with rocky mountains, trees that pierce the rocks, cool waters, waterfalls, wildlife, and plants. It is truly a wondrous place. This is a very beautiful national park.

Transportation is expensive and difficult. There are hotels and bungalows everywhere; I wouldn't recommend it for day trips. The only worthwhile attractions are the mountain views and one church.

Robert Elsie was not born Albanian, yet few dedicated their lives to Albania as he did. A distinguished Albanologist, scholar and translator, he brought Albanian history, culture and literature to the world, including Gjergj Fishta’s monumental Lahuta e Malcís — The Highland Lute. Today, he rests in Theth, overlooking the Albanian Alps he so deeply loved and studied. He came as a scholar, became a friend of Albania, and remains one of the greatest guardians of its cultural memory. The mountains he loved now watch over him.
