Yishun Park is much greener and more interesting than I expected. While the outer sections feel like a typical neighbourhood park with open lawns, shelters and paved paths, the central part is quite different — it genuinely feels like walking through a small forest The dense tree canopy, mature trees, ferns and thick vegetation make some stretches surprisingly secluded and shady, despite being surrounded by HDB estates. The park is also home to an arboretum featuring Dipterocarp trees, which adds another dimension if you enjoy trees and nature
