I don’t know if it was the day or the time or the weather, but as a very strong swimmer, I almost drowned. I would not recommend this spot for swimming with children, or anyone who can’t swim well or stay calm in stressful situations. I was lucky that the current didn’t take me out further than it did, and that I was able to make it back to shore without drowning. It was fine for about 40 feet but then the underwater current was too strong and swimming in any direction, felt like a fight.
