A drive through the Bombay Hook , National Wildlife Refuge is a calming and thrilling activity. From the car, you can see multiple species of birds, foxes and reptiles. I especially love the blue Heron, the swans, the foxes and even wild turkey. Bring binoculars to see even more from a distance. Stop at the Visitor Center for helpful advice and the gift shop for lovely gifts, teas, homemade cards, and Bombay Hook clothes

The wildlife and ecosystem is a marvel. We had so much fun, we plan to go back soon. The only negative were the insane potholes throughout most of the drive. Be careful with those! Some are really deep.

The refuge is beautiful and no matter the season, there will be something special to see. HOWEVER, the drive through road has MULTIPLE potholes. At one point, I had to drive almost into the ravine in order to avoid a huge pothole thst would have damaged my car. I'm hoping the potholes will be repaired soon.
