The community caves are a neat view, different than pretty much any other hike in the canyon. The trail is hard to find and harder to hike. Not for amateurs. If you are able bodied, consider it and take some precautions!

Extremely steep hike, potentially dangerous. Caves are a little confusing to find. Overall very fun. Recommend hiking boots and/or poles. Would hike again.

I love Spearfish Canyon. It's beautiful and unique. You really have to go there to appreciate them rugged canyon walls, rushing creeks, mountain goats, and beautiful trails.
