Beautiful trail, many parts feel incredibly magical to walk through. Lots of interesting plants and wildlife. I will say that there are some parts that are a bit more difficult— the terrain is very rocky and there are stretches of moderately steep inclines. I found this trail to be challenging as a beginner but rewarding, and I’m sure more experienced hikers would find it much easier.

Great glen hike within 10-15 mins drive from state college. Went in May, lush green, Roaring Run was running high, great geology and small waterfalls, lots of rhododendrons about to blossom. Access point for several flat and climbing hikes.
