Not as crowded as other hikes. Great choice for a weekend climb.

Nice trail, crosses many small waterfalls and passes a nice highland pond. Parts are slippery and steep, so not an easy trail, but only modestly difficult. Locating the trailhead requires you ignore signs indicating a private lake club - just drive down the road marked private aput a 1/2 mile and there is public parking at the trailhead. Enjoy!

Excellent 1.6 mile hike from parking to intersection with Long Trail, where you find a refuge/cabin with nice view. About 3/4 of tge way there you pass a lovely waterfall with swimming hole. I would rate this hike as moderate difficulty - not so bad; I did it with a three year old on my shoulders, but certainly you want to have good footwear etc. Also given the topography, the microclimates can change weather quickly. We went from rain and cold to hot and dry and breezy but sunny all in one walk.
