We were able to park at the school, even in the level parking lot; behind the waterfall you practically don't get wet, just a few drops.

Who doesn’t love Norway’s small, unspoiled gems? Tvinnefossen is definitely one of them—at least if you’re into hidden costs and scavenger hunts. Kudos right off the bat: you aren’t pestered with pricing information anywhere. It wasn’t until Google Maps announced I had arrived that I was surprised by a hand-painted sign. This sign promptly directed me to the local school, 1.6 km away. The fact that the poorly marked route leads right through the middle of town fits the picture perfectly. Upon arriving at the school, I was immediately greeted by a very "clear" demand to pay via Vipps. The rates? A cool 100 NOK for 3 hours or a tidy 300 NOK for the day. In Norway, that kind of money usually buys you the real deal: truly beautiful waterfalls, great souvenirs, or good food. Here, instead, you get plenty of confusion at steep prices. So, if you’ve always wanted to park in a school lot at a premium price, this is the place for you!
