Beautiful clear water, BBQ area and swimming 🏊‍♂️Tamarama Beach sits between two prominent headlands on the Bondi to Coogee Walk, with 80 metres of shoreline. It has great surfing condtions, but it is prone to strong currents. It is surrounded by parklands. There is a cafe, playground, barbecue area and amenities. Tamarama is often referred to as 'Glamarama" because its where beautiful people hang out! Today Tuesday morning 🌄 the cafe was busy but the beach was quite, I can't wait for it to get a little bit hoter so I can swim again! Tamarama beach ⛱️ is beautiful and swim 🏊‍♀️ at least once in your life time!!Tamarama Beach is one of Sydney’s most striking, compact coastal coves, framed by rugged sandstone headlands and packed with local character. Tucked along the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk between Mackenzies Point and Bronte, "Glamarama" delivers a dramatic setting that feels distinct from its larger neighbors. ​Vibe & Atmosphere ​The Setting: Flanked by deep cliffs, the 80-meter shoreline feels like an amphitheater facing raw Pacific swells. It tends to draw a stylish, local crowd who come for focused sunbathing and relaxed afternoon socializing. ​The Park: Behind the sand, Tamarama Park offers sheltered picnic spots, public electric BBQs, and a café for flat whites and post-walk snacks. ​Surf & Ocean Safety ​Powerful Conditions: Tamarama is widely regarded as one of the most hazardous swimming beaches along the eastern coast due to relentless shore dumps and narrow, fast-moving rip currents. ​Surfers vs. Swimmers: It is prime territory for experienced bodyboarders and surfers. Casual swimmers should strictly stay between the flags when patrolled by the Tamarama SLSC or take a short stroll around the south headland to Bronte’s ocean pool for calmer water. ​Tips for Visiting ​Best Access: Skip the nightmare of street parking and either catch the 379 bus from Bondi Junction or arrive via the Bondi to Coogee coastal track. ​Events: During the annual spring Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, the beach and surrounding headlands transform into a high-energy outdoor gallery.

This is a beach where swimming is not allowed for people! Please keep that in mind. Lifeguards are on duty even in winter, so we were able to play in the sand with peace of mind. 😁 It's better for tanning than Bondi Beach.
