Stayed at the first dispersed site off Forest Road 5, got invaded by cows ("cow parade" on YouTube), close to highway & fairly close to Taos.

One of the most beautiful places I have seen and totally didn't expect this in New Mexico, but so glad to see it. The views and scenic vistas are breathtaking. There were deer everywhere and the hiking trails were well marked. Loved!!

Gorgeous, even from the little pull-offs along the side of the road. Of course, it's totally worth the time to get out and look around too.
