Conasauga Falls Trail, located near Tellico Plains, Tennessee, offers visitors a refreshing encounter with one of the region’s most charming waterfalls. This peaceful, accessible trail leads to a multi-tiered cascade flowing over smooth rock formations, making it a standout natural attraction in the Cherokee National Forest. The waterfall’s soft but constant flow joins a clear pool below, surrounded by moss-covered stones and rich greenery typical of the Appalachian hardwood forest. The trail itself is short, less than a mile round-trip, making it ideal for travelers of all skill levels seeking a quick immersion in nature without a strenuous hike. Trees lining the trail include oaks and hemlocks, adding to the lush forest atmosphere while providing shade and habitat to local bird species and small mammals. Editorial Assessment

Conasauga Falls Trail offers a beautiful and accessible natural waterfall experience that is ideal for local visitors and those seeking gentle hikes. While it is a lovely destination with appealing scenery and rich flora, it is more of a regional gem than a globally iconic landmark due to its relatively small scale and ease of access compared to larger, more dramatic waterfalls worldwide.

What a beautiful hike. It was a little rough at times because I am totally not acclimated for that kind of exercise. But what a payoff at the falls.

The drive in was treacherous. Do not take this trip without a 4x4 vehicle.

The trailhead was easy enough to find but the trail did get a little confusing. However, you'll know you're there when you see a rock stairwell that leads down to the falls. There were a few places to walk out to the river along the trail. The falls were pleasant and the water was cool. It only took us about 30 minutes to walk one way.
