We parked at the trailhead for Bridal Veil Falls, and took a ride with our guide to the east entrance. This was my first Via Ferrata, but I was glad we did this first and with a guide. It was very scary at the beginning for not being clipped to the cable at all times. But once you got comfortable with it. The route is mostly hiking along a ledge and some rock climbing but clipped to a cable. Compared to Ouray Via Ferrata this one is more challenging, not clipped to the cable all times, and you are very high doing this on the edge of the rock and cliff on the other side. A very cool and fun experience! Gets you out of your comfort zone.

This is an absolute must in Telluride. I did the trip on a private tour with Mountaintrip. They were very professional. Others comment about lack of cables in certain sections - I asked the guide about it and he said it's impossible to put cables there because of avalanches and rock fall. I didn't find it sketchier than hikes I've been on - just go slow and you will be fine. It was slightly more technical than I anticipated - I had thought it was simply traversing across but there are some times where upper body strength and rock climbing skills are required. The guide will help you through those sections.

Main Event was the scariest thing I’ve done in my life! Views were unbeatable. Only complaint is the lack of cables on certain sections— our crew did some sketchy climbing in rain with 200+ foot drop offs. This isn’t for the faint of heart but it’s wildly fulfilling!
