The waterfall on this hike was beautiful, and did not take long at all to reach.

I’ve done this trail before but this time the trails from the east is closed due to trail maintenance so we had to start from the gravel trail which was hard. The trail is mostly uphill and we had to double back. I think the loop is better, prettier and moderate from the east. So check the information before you start!

Ah, the Jud Wiebe Memorial Trail, a gem tucked away in the picturesque embrace of Telluride. Five stars hardly do justice to the kaleidoscope of experiences this trail offers. Imagine, if you will, embarking on a journey through a tapestry of wildflowers blooming in rebellion against the rugged terrain, with the scent of pine wafting delicately through the crisp mountain air. Each turn of the trail unveils a panorama that rivals the finest paintings in a gallery – the majestic peaks standing sentinel over the valley below, a reminder of nature’s grandeur. Hiking this trail is akin to reading a well-crafted novel; it keeps you guessing, holding your breath, and ultimately leaves you enlightened. The vigorous ascents test your mettle, while the descents remind you that life is a balancing act. Along the way, the whispers of ancient trees share secrets of the ages, and you cannot help but feel a connection to something far greater than yourself. Whether you're an aficionado of the outdoors or merely seeking a moment of tranquility away from the world's incessant chatter, the Jud Wiebe Memorial Trail serves as a siren call, inviting you into its embrace. The trail, like many great adventures, is best experienced with a spirit of curiosity and a heart full of wanderlust. In truth, I can assure you that this trail will etch itself upon your soul, leaving you yearning for another sojourn amidst its stunning allure. So, grab your walking stick and venture forth. The views, my friend, are simply irresistible. Happy hiking!
