A Kaleidoscope of Nature's Colors

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

The largest thermal spring in the United States and the third largest in the world. Definitely the biggest attraction in Yellowstone. Bacteria and archaea create beautiful colors at the edge of the pool. The blue color comes from the depth of the source.

We walked quite a bit to reach the place. I was more impressed by the real thing than the photo. It was farther away than I expected, so I wanted to get a closer look, but I think it can't be helped because it's dangerous and you have to stay a certain distance away to see the whole thing.
