This destination is well-known for its impressive vertical drop, expansive terrain, and stunning views that frame Glacier National Park’s towering peaks. The resort boasts over 3,000 skiable acres spread across varied runs that cater to beginners, intermediates, and experts alike, making it one of the most accessible yet thrilling ski destinations in the region.

Powder is generally dry and cold, providing excellent skiing conditions throughout the winter season. Absolutely ridiculous experience at Whitefish Mountain Resort’s gondola. They put you inside a closed gondola with NO AC on a warm day. What the hell is the point? You can open a tiny little window, but that does absolutely nothing. You just sit inside sweating and roasting the entire ride. And if you’re thinking, “Oh, it’s just a few minutes, how bad can it be?” Think again. It takes approximately 20 minutes to get from the base to the top. This is not a 2–5 minute gondola ride where you can just tolerate the heat and get out. You are stuck inside that non-AC box for 20 minutes. Want a sauna with a view? Take this gondola. And even if you choose the open-air option, your entire head and body are still getting blasted by the heat. For the price they charge, this whole experience is unreasonably expensive and completely ridiculous. Then you get to the top and there’s a restaurant nearby with a terrible, foul smell coming from the area. The whole experience just keeps getting worse. And honestly, for the views? Not worth it. You can get beautiful mountain views from the valley without paying this much and going through all this hassle. I don't think the views are impressive enough to justify spending this kind of money. We went expecting a great mountain experience and left wondering what exactly we paid for. If you’re thinking about spending your money here just for the gondola and the views, don’t. Save your money. The entire experience simply does not justify the price. Avoid it.
