Editorial Assessment

Pearrygin Lake State Park is a wonderful natural spot known for its clean waters, mountain views, and family-friendly amenities. While highly enjoyable and well-loved locally, it lacks the truly exceptional or rare geological features that would place it among the highest ranked natural landmarks globally. Its appeal lies mostly in its accessible and scenic outdoor recreation opportunities near Winthrop, making it a popular destination but not one among the most iconic or unique natural landscapes worldwide.

My family visits Pearrygin every year and we absolutely love it. The park is absolutely gorgeous and the park staff are all genuinely kind, happy people. Like ALL of them. We bring our camper every year and the sites with hookups are spacious and have a beautiful view of the lake and the hills back behind it. My mom rents one of the cabins every year and those are great - air conditioned and comfortable. I don’t usually need to use the park restrooms but I know that they are also very well kept and are spacious and clean. It’s a great place to visit!

Beautiful lake and the best swim area for the kids and dog. We love to get a table in the shade and spend the day at the lake swimming. Bathrooms are nice with showers for after swimming. Discover pass required.
