Flat, gorgeous lollipop loop. Perfect for all ages and most abilities. They are fixing the somewhat degraded trail to be fully ADA accessible by summer 2025. If you like sorrel and redwoods, this is the hike for you.

Very flat trail that goes into an old growth redwood forest, a quintessential redwoods experience. Crisp cool damp air, the feeling and sound of your footsteps on the soft ground, surrounded by fields of clovers and giant trees, the shooting rays of sunlight highlighted by the morning mist, it's an absolute soul cleanser. I literally felt pressure leaving my mind and body and just became immersed in the present moment, I don't know if I've ever felt more at ease and relaxed. Forest bathing is a real thing, it must be experienced. I don't consider myself a "hippie tree hugger" but this is as close I've felt to being one with nature, this place, along with numerous other redwood forest parks along the North Coast is an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful trail with a lot of sorrel and ferns covering the forrest floor. This is one of the busier trails that gets frequented by people more than other groves. The only downside was I could hear the freeway on the trail. Other than that it is beautiful and an easy walk. Make sure you have shoes suitable for mud if you go during the rainy season.
