Half Dome [Half Dome Summit] The summit of Yosemite's Half Dome. At 2,693 meters above sea level, everyone gazes upon it, but not everyone can stand on it. This isn't just a high mountain, it's a "sanctuary you climb on foot." Aluminum cables, inclines exceeding 45 degrees. Hesitation leads to falling, and concentration leads to climbing. In the final stretch, my heartbeat and sweat press down like a weight, and every time I reach for the rock, I feel a realization: "I've really made it this far..." The moment I pass the cable and step onto the final rock? The whole world lies beneath me. Below me, Yosemite Valley meanders, and before my face, the endless sky stretches out, as if to say, "You've made it this far, you're truly amazing." The North Face

What an incredible adventure! This 16.5-mile hike began in Yosemite Valley, and we took the Mist Trail on the ascent. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Though the Mist Trail was a bit more challenging, with some steep sections that felt like a straight climb at times, it shaved about a mile off the total distance. Once we reached the John Muir Trail (JMT), the path leveled out, providing a brief reprieve before the real climb began. When you reach Sub Dome, the true challenge starts. Stick to the well-worn path as you head upward. As you approach the cables, don’t worry—your adrenaline will kick in. Take your time on the cables, rest when you need to, and don’t feel rushed. There’s no hurry—you’ve already made it this far! Pause on the wooden planks to catch your breath—nobody minds. The reward awaits you at the summit, and trust me, it’s more than worth the effort. Enjoy every moment!
