A lot of trash is being thrown into this clear teal coloured water. Such a shame, as water is so clear can see fish and plants, but so much trash.

I recommend the 1-hour river tour where you see the old town and historical buildings.

The Limmat River flows out of Lake Lucerne in a northerly direction, cutting through Old Town and travelling around 36km before meeting up with the Aare River. Its waters are turquoise blue, very clear and clean and lined with historic buildings creating impressive waterfront scenery. You can see the river well from higher vantage positions like Lindenhof Hill as well as while walking along the river and crossing the bridges that link the left and right banks of the river.
