Such a great place. We got a West Shurfine deli sandwich and drinks and took them to the Sandy Bottoms area for a quick picnic. Beautiful...

Wonderful lake with reasonably priced homes. My only Complaint is the algae bloom in July makes the lake unswimable. Also there are very few restaurants near by.

Honeoye Lake’s park and beach on its north end is for its residents who smiled, waved at and greeted us during our brief stop to see it. We parked, walked to its shore, took pictures, used their bathroom and chatted a while at a picnic bench. No one was unfriendly or unwelcoming. Thank you to all of you who shared your lake, park and facilities with us! There is a nice and safe trail on the left of the walkway into the park. We didn’t hike it but it seemed a pleasant easy hike. It’s a peaceful place that’s neat with trees that provide shade over the playground.

This is the perfect lake. It's large enough for boating, fishing, skiing, etc. but not so big that it attracts tons of people. This also helps keeps the rental prices reasonable. Just beware of the algae bloom as the summer progresses. It can make the lake unusable.
